Noise Pollution

This morning as I was driving to work, I spent most of my commute next to a guy on a motorcycle that he had souped up to be really loud. And not just when it was moving - when it was idling too! Being stuck next to that extremely annoying noise while I was driving combined with the fact that I had to sit next to him at 6 different lights literally put me in a bad mood by the time that I got to work. Apparently the world is on a big "green" kick right now....can we lump noise pollution into those initiatives too? If I have to deal with that too many more times, it will be come necessary for ensuring the continued safety of our motorcycle drivers....

Okay, I hate to be "that guy" but in defense of loud cycles...they are much safer for the rider. I know, I know, it's overkill at times (especially when they are idling next to you or they are revving the engine for no reason). BUT, you are INVISIBLE on a motorcycle. I've only been riding for 3 months and trust me I've already had enough encounters to wish I had loud pipes. LOUD PIPES, SAVE LIVES!

Again, sorry to be "that guy".

It's cool...I appreciate "that guy" presenting differing opinions. I didn't think of it that way. This guy was still a little bit of overkill (I couldn't hear my radio and it was turned up loud), but I'll go easier on my invisible fist shaking towards motorcyclers with just semi-loud engines from now on. :)
